ACLE is firmly established as the premier international leather event in China. Since inception it’s role is to introduce overseas companies to China's booming leather and related industries. There is no better exhibition for international companies seeking to enter the China market.
One of the ACLE’s organisers, China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), is the official representative body for China’s vast leather sector. CLIA has at its disposal the largest and most comprehensive databases of leather makers and manufactures of finished products, suppliers and buyers.
Launched in 1998 ACLE celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2008. This year, 2009, APLF Limited celebrates its 25th Anniversary of service to the global leather and related industries. APLF is the organiser of Asia’s leading leather exhibition in Hong Kong: APLF - Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (MM&T); Fashion Access (FA), the twice a year footwear, finished leather products, fashion accessories and lifestyle products. Its confidence in the future of the industry in Asia is witnessed by its launch of a new exhibition in India in May this year.
Opening Doors in China
Companies looking for openings in China are fully aware that success does not come quickly. China is certainly not immune from the effects of economic conditions world-wide but it shows signs of weathering the storm better than most. 15,755 buyers attended ACLE, CIFF and Moda Shanghai in 2008, of whom 13,893 came from mainland China.
As at 1 April 2009, and with some four months to go demand for space at the exhibition is strong and buyer pre-show registration is on target.
Confirmed group pavilions as of today: Participation of 22 group pavilions, from Australia, Brazil, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and USA, have been confirmed to participate in ACLE and CIFF 2009.
