Entry restricted for international travelers
Most international travelers are not allowed to enter or transit through mainland China. Travelers who transit through a third country on their way to mainland China must receive a new health code in that country and repeat their pre-departure COVID-19 tests. Travelers should avoid traveling on indirect flights to mainland China and must check with their local Chinese embassy or consulate if direct flights are not available.
Details and exemptions
Entry restrictions do not apply to:
- Chinese citizens;
- Diplomatic, service, courtesy, or C visas;
- Foreigners with a Chinese Residence Permit issued by China (People’s Rep.) for the purpose of work, personal matters or reunions;
- Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan passport holders traveling to Mainland China on their relevant entry permit;
- Foreign nationals with a visa issued on or after 28 March 2020;
- Foreign nationals holding a Chinese Mainland Permanent Resident Card;
- International travelers coming to mainland China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or out of emergency humanitarian needs may apply for visas at Chinese embassies or consulates.
Mandatory 14-day quarantine
Travelers are subject to health checks (likely involving nucleic acid or swab tests), including during transit, followed by a 14-day quarantine at a government-selected facility or hotel at the traveler's expense. During this period follow-up COVID-19 tests are likely to take place. Those failing health checks or with positive COVID-19 test results may be sent to a designated hospital for treatment. Different requirements apply for travelers arriving at the following destinations: -Travelers entering Beijing will be subject to a 7-day quarantine at a government-selected facility or hotel at the traveler’s expense and will be subject to additional 7-day home quarantine; -Travelers entering Nanjing will be subject to additional 14-day home quarantine; -Travelers entering Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Xiamen, and Chongqing will be subject to additional 7-day home quarantine; -Travelers entering Chengdu will be subject to a 10-day quarantine at a government-selected facility or hotel at the traveler's expense and will be subject to additional 7-day home quarantine.
COVID-19 Nucleic Acid Test
Travelers are required to have 2 negative COVID-19 PCR test results. The first PCR test must be taken a maximum of 48 hours before boarding. The second COVID-19 PCR test results must be taken a maximum of 12 hours before boarding. Alternatively, travelers may take a second COVID-19 PCR test results a maximum of 24 before boarding to mainland China, plus they are required to take a COVID-19 antigen test results a maximum of 12 hours before boarding. Collected samples must be tested at a laboratory institution that is on the list released by the Chinese embassy and consulates. Travelers must apply for a health QR code with the "HS" mark (for Chinese nationals) or "HDC" mark (for foreign nationals) or a certified health declaration form from the Chinese consulate in the country of origin before boarding the flight. Alternatively, travelers may get their code online.

Shanghai Health QR Code
Everyone must present a Green Shanghai Health QR Code. Those with Yellow or Red code will be denied entry.
Local Visitors, please scan the QR code via WeChat or Alipay. Follow the instructions to obtain your “Health Code”.
Overseas Visitors (including Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan region), please scan the QR code via WeChat to enter the “China Government Service Platform”. Click “Health Code Traveller Version” on the homepage. Follow the instructions to obtain your “Health Code”.

Visitors must present a Green Itinerary QR Code. Those with Yellow or Red code for medium and high risk areas will be changed by the local authorities depending upon the current situation in China.

Real-name Authentication Registration
Real-name registration will be carried out both online and offline, a China ID card/Foreign Passport number must be provided for visitor badge application. With the original registered document, visitor may enter the venue by swiping the ID card for China citizens and visitor badges for overseas personnel. Overseas visitors are required to provide RNA test report and a notification of release from isolation. They are required to verify their passport information at a verification counter and collect their badges.
Body Temperature Check
Everyone is required to undergo an infrared temperature check before entering SNIEC. Anyone with a high temperature (at or over 37.3°C) will be denied entry. Trade Buyers who feel unwell or display any COVID-19-like symptoms such as fever (≥37.3°C), cough, sore throat or shortness of breath are recommended to seek medical advice immediately and stay home. The Organiser and the venue operator shall have the right to refuse access to any person displaying such symptom(s).
Wear Face Mask
Face masks must be worn in all areas inside the venue (except when dining).
Cleaning & Sanitising
Hand sanitising stations are located throughout the venue. Buyers are advised to perform hand hygiene frequently, especially if touching the mouth, nose or eyes.
No outside catering is allowed inside the hall.
The venue has adjusted the maximum capacity to avoid overcrowding, the Organiser may take other measures, such as temporarily suspending registration or entry into the halls to comply with the maximum hall capacity. Please follow the instructions of our staff.
Trade Buyers should stand at least 1m apart while waiting in queues, on stand, in hall aisles and in other areas of the venue. The Organiser and security officers have the right to require buyers to comply with this regulation, and buyers are requested to cooperate with our instructions.
Trade Buyers whose family members or friends have contracted COVID-19 should not visit the exhibition.
If anyone is found to be unwell, they will be taken to the temporary medical observation area immediately. The Organiser will ask them to see a medical facility or assist in calling ambulances for medical treatment. The venue will adopt temporary isolation measures for the areas where persons with abnormal body temperature are found and conducts comprehensive disinfection of the areas.
